I'm in my late twenties, wife, Christ-follower, quilter, upholsterer, and vintage picker. I currently live in Portland, OR. I love the creative community here, but miss the sunny Bay Area. I use to work as a fifth grade teacher, but a two years ago left that to move to Portland and peruse creative opportunities. I'm so pleased that we made this transition as it has led to my husband and I opening our own business, Remnant. Check out our site
to find out all about our new shop.
Also, I teach quilting classes at Modern Domestic
, a local sewing studio. Come take a class!
Behind the name: My middle name is Joy and I've often used it for my email or as a nickname on paper. I receive joy when I see beautiful things and it inspires me to be creative. While quilting, the name, Jack of all trades, came to mind and it evolved to Joy of all Crafts!
