Flower & Garden Show
Sunday, March 27, 2011 For the past two weeks, it's been rain, rain, rain in the Bay Area. Really not too much to complain about, except that we haven't seen too many sunny skies in a long time. So going to the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show was calling my name! I couldn't wait to see some bright colors to remind myself of sunny skies.
I called up my favorite flower friend, Kirsten of Fairytale Flowers, and we were off! We had a great time walking through beautifully landscaped gardens, the edible gardens of Star Apple, and lots of succulents & terrariums. This made for the perfect Sunday afternoon!
These arrangements were to reason I came!! Studio Choo introduced it to me via her article: We Like It Wild on design*sponge. These were by far my favorite part of the show! I was so inspired by the simple beauty of these vibrant flowers in wooden boxes.
Birds of Succulents!! Filoli Gardens made an amazing display! I didn't notice the birds at first, subtle yet beautiful!
Click here to find out more about these amazing pots!! Ecoforms are definitely my new favorite! Cheap and environmentally friendly. I restrained myself since we are moving, but once we are in Portland I'd love to have some succulents and herbs in these beauties!
Happy Sunday!
