New Sewing Space
Friday, May 25, 2012 Technically it's not "new" it's still in the same physical space, but I changed everything around and it feels oh so new! I reorganized last November and it worked for the most part. However, the cutting space still wasn't big enough and it was too high. There was no space to iron, and there was wasted space to the right of my desk. I love moving furniture around and I knew it was time for a change. So all day on Wednesday, I cleaned (should have taken a real before, it was really messy in there!), shuffled things around, while Chris built me a table that is the right shape and height. Here's the new more functional space!
I love that I now have the light flowing in from the window and I can look out into our front yard while I'm sewing. I still don't have a "space" for ironing as I rearranged, but if I set it up like this:
and it's perfect! a little cramped perhaps, but just right for my little space. Here's some close-ups of my favorite little nooks.

No matter what you're space, it's so much easier to sew when it's not cluttered!

Nice studio space! You'd feel even better if I sent you a picture of my VERY cluttered working space!! Well done. Hi from BYW2
So organized! I have a craft room and you can barely open the door because it is so full of crap. Note to self: clean the craft room.
Thanks doll,
