How to Follow a Blog...(and mine!)
Tuesday, June 28, 2011 As I becoming more and more consumed in the blog world, I'm realizing how "new" it still is to so many people. Many of my friends and family know what a blog is, but have no idea how to "follow" one, or why that would be helpful or beneficial.
Back in the beginning, I kept finding blogs that I liked, but then would forget about as I didn't have a way to remember them. So, I decided to start bookmarking blogs! However, I still struggled with that because it meant I needed to visit the page whether or not their was a new post. Or I would miss many posts and then not be able to catch up! I felt like I could never get this right....until I met Google Reader!
In Google Reader, I can easily subscribe to blogs, easily keep up on blogs I like, and star my favorite blog posts so I can easily save them for future reference! How? Watch this video to find out!
What I learned from the video is that f you don't have a gmail, you don't have to sign-up for one!
Another way to follow blogs is to click "follow" on the sidebar of a blog, or "RSS feed" or "subscribe."
These will direct you to another page that will let you pick Google Reader as your choice to follow the blog. This is a great way to publically follow and for the author to know who is reading her blog!
Here is a screenshot of my Google Reader! Let me know if you have any questions! I'd love to help!
And now for a personal plug, please follow me! :)

Going Away Party
Sunday, June 26, 2011 Over the weekend, our amazing friends, Amy and Ryan Worthington, threw us an amazing Going Away Party! We were so thankful to have everyone show up, hang out with us and have one last shindig! Thanks so much for hosting and making lots of yummy food!
I've been following numerous blogs and Jordan from Oh Happy Day, had posted this great idea about a DIY photo booth. I loved this idea for our party! It would be perfect to get a picture of everyone! So I set about making these little props and backdrop. It was so much fun!
We are so excited for Portland but the hardest thing is leaving all of our wonderful friends and family! As a surprise at the party, Helen made an amazing slideshow of pics from the last five years of friendship, parties, weddings, showers, baclorette parties/weekends, camping, and much more! I was so thrilled and surprised! She also made an amazing collage of pictures in an amazing frame. Thanks, Helen, Amy, Azadeh, and Aftan! Love you all!
I was able to put the slideshow on here! It's a little long, but if you want to see lots of pictures of my friends and I, click below! :)

letterpress
Friday, June 24, 2011 I've been having so much fun learning photoshop! I've inspired by so many bloggers out there who are doing unique things with photoshop. there is one blog in particular that teaches photoshop: pugly pixel. Katrina is a local gal (bay area) and she loves to pass on her knowledge of photoshop. I have so grateful!
Tonight, I was able to make a print that is "letterpressed."
Prepare to be amazed! :)

yummy eats {01}
Thursday, June 23, 2011 Introducing a new regular post! One of the things that I'm really excited about is exploring new places to eat. I've been hearing lots about yummy grilled cheese trucks from friends in la, so I was so excited to see that portland has some of there own! Chris and I will definitely be going back there. Super fresh and yummy sandwiches! We were as impressed with the soup, it was really spicy! Even for Chris! But overall, the sandwiches are toasted to perfection and the top ingredients.
