new home!

It's officially official! We are moving to Portland June 30, it's very exciting, scary, and sad all at the same time! The pictures aren't that great, there will be lots more once we are there! I'm already making mood boards to show how we'll be decorating. I love having a fresh, clean start! :)

It's a two bedroom home, with a front and back yard, garage, and finished attic.
*one mistake - it's not a basement! it's an attic. :) The bar across the middle is the railing for the stairs.*
It's in a quiet little area, a little farther out than we originally had wanted, but I think it will better as we are closer to freeways.

Now, I must get off the computer and onto packing!

paris...

I made this as I was waiting for Oh Happy Day to announce the winner of a trip to Paris. Once I was done, I found out the trip of a lifetime went to someone else. Oh well, I'll get there someday! Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy the many pics of Paris on pinterest. Also, have you seen Midnight in Paris? Such a good movie and a perfect fix if you're pining for Paris, like me! :)

pdx signage love

I'm loving all of the signage in portland! For some reason these signs were really calling out to me!
I'm applying what I learned from Bri's blogshop class. What an experience!

Meanwhile, here are just a few of my pics from this house-hunting weekend!

missing in blogland....

I'm embarrassed to even look at the date of my last blog post...I've been a bit MIA lately! I've decided to take a break to focus our big move and end of school. Last weekend, I enjoyed an amazing trip camping with many close friends. This weekend, Chris and I spent the weekend in Yosemite and Groveland with my family. We had a great time even though we were rained in for part of it. Now, in the next couple of weeks: I'm grading, writing my final report cards, packing my classroom, flying to Portland to find a house, flying back, packing up our RWC home and making the drive to PDX, and of course, unpacking and getting acclimated and settled! Needless to say, I've had a bit of a tough time, exciting, but challenging! Blogging and crafting has come to a standstill. I'm excited to continue blogging once we are in Portland. And I may post a few posts now and again, however, I expect to begin again in July! Expect many posts on our new travels around Portlandia!

For now, here are a few pics of the last few weeks:

National Stationery Show!

This is an annual show where Companies display their newest cards, stationery, and all things paper! People in the industry make orders on products that end up in the stores! Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Paper-Source buys many of my favorites! I love seeing small companies supported at PS!

Oh how I'd love to go to this show sometime in the future! It's interesting how in the past, I would have thought that, but never would it have occurred to me that that could be a reality. But lately, I'm much more open and optimistic. Who knows where the next few years may take me? I'm not sure what/where I'll be! :)  As for right now, I'm vicariously living through the blogosphere in attendance. Oh So Beautiful Paper is writing wonderful reviews showcasing lots of the vendors. I'm so thankful for all of the pictures and info!

To keep track of my favorites I've made a Pinterest board to highlight my faves: Follow me there as I'll continue adding to it as I read through more and more posts! :)

Scrolling through the NSS website, I found they have a virtual online catalog of all of the new products. It's fun seeing them in this new way! I'm so thankful for the internet allowing us sneak peeks into events that not the average person can attend!

{PS} Sorry there have not been posts!! It's been a little busy getting ready for moving to Portland, recovering from shingles, finishing out the year teaching, and I'm about to go on two weekend trips (camping with friends and then Yosemite with the whole fam!), and more! Posts not be as regular as in the past. However, they will be soon! :)
