365 project: April 25 - May 8

A week behind...but I pulled it all together! Here are the past two week's in photos. A lot of it are current projects and much of the same since I've been working and then homeward bound for the past few days, curled up in a little ball. Tomorrow, I am back to work and I've been feeling much better today. :) Shingles are almost gone! Hurray!

 Enjoy!

Flowers at Whole Foods, always so pretty and bright!

I'm surrounded with messes! This has to stop!

At school, reviewing the rock cycle for my 5th grade kiddos

Making progress on the seatee, hoping my neighbors don't mind!

At the last minute, Chris and I snagged sharks tickets to Game 1 of Round 2 vs. Red Wings. What a game! We have so much fun at the shark tank!

Staff Meeting at Paper Source! We learned bookbinding! So much fun, anyone can do! Come on by and we'll show you how!

Seriously the most vintage hats I've ever seen! Chris found an estate sale that he told me to swing by, it was a house of  a woman who loved hats and clothes! I didn't buy anything, but it was fun to look at!

Enjoying dinner!

Our Mid Century Finds! Chris and I are loving this look! He found this amazing sewing desk (it fits a singer) for $35!! He swiped it up for me and said we can even take it to Portland! He's the best! So in our new home, I'll have a craft desk and sewing desk! Right now it's just sitting it our living room looking pretty. :)

The day I found out I have/had shingles, this is where you can find me!
Binding made for Fleur de Printemps quilt! Yes I've been using it without the binding on it! :)

Watched church live via ustream! Coolest thing ever! *Also, folded laundry while watching!*

I missed two days, but that's not so bad amidst everything that happened! Thanks all for reading!

Happy Weekend!

First of all, I've been so MIA!! This week has truly been crazy! It's been one of the most stressful weeks at my day job (teaching 5th grade). On top of all this, I found out what I thought was a rash that would go away turned into shingles!! The doctor said I must stay home and rest and sent me home with a bottle of pills, cream, and a paper demanding me not to work! To be honest, I'm relieved. I've been so overwhelmed lately that it is nice to stop, rest, and relax. If only my back didn't itch like the dickens!

Here is my current bedroom set up that I'm enjoying the sun, fan, and my new laptop.
I do hope to get some sewing done, but right now, I'm flat out catching up on my google reader! I still have over 200 blogs to read! But right now HGTV dream home 2011 is on!

Rest up everyone! Don't get sick like me! ;)

The Royal Wedding

Yes I was one of the many who woke up super early to watch the Royal Wedding!
It was such the regal event!

The dress, beautiful hats, obviously love for one another, prom & circumstance, carriages, and so much more! It was truly an event to remember!

I'm so thrilled that I watching (watching) it live as I was able to tweet with all of my twitter friends! It was truly amazing to be watching live and having many conversations with people from all over the US and UK! It truly felt like I was in a roomful of gals yukking it up! :)

Now waiting for the kiss!
Happy Royal Wedding!

Go Sharks!

Just in case you didn't know, Chris and I are huge Sharks fans! I couldn't resist a post to cheer on the Sharks in Round 2 of the Playoffs. Their opponent team are the Detroit Red Wings...scary...but we can do it!

Here are a few pics of us at a game a few weeks ago:

Rocking out on our way to the game!

Marleau setting up to win the face-off

He won the face-off!

Stanley Cup Winners 2010-2011??? I see it in the future!

Beat D-troit!

Go Sharks!

*Back to crafts next post!*

365 project: April 18 - 24

This was a great week! I was off of my day job, worked 20 hours at paper source, and worked a lot of many of my current projects. Not enough organizing/cleaning happened.

Mom and I had a sewing day! Dueling sewing machine! :)

Making some progress on my shams to match my quilt!

For the RK challenge, I've had to tack up fleece in the living room to lay out the whole quilt. I thought it was artsy to take the pic through the mirror...strange, I know!

My favorite "local" fabric store! When I say local I mean in San Francisco!

My current re-furnishing project, I'm almost done! You'll see it soon!

This year's Easter's cards!

Myle's had a great first Easter with the whole family! He loved showing us all of his favorite new moves! :)
